They've never met before, but Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson is looking forward to meeting his new head coach Rob Chudzinski hopefully soon.
"I like what [Chudzinski] did with (Carolina QB) Cam (Newton)," Richardson said, via the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "He got those boys to ball. Cam was successful in [Chudzinski's] offense. He's an offense guy, and that's another good thing."
Owner Jimmy Haslam and his team finally made a decision on a head coach after considering several options to replace fired coach Par Shurmur. They're still in the hunt for a GM.
"I'm like everyone else, I'm happy [the search] is over with," Richardson said.
He also anticipates getting back to full health after dealing with a rib injury that slowed him down in 2012.
"I'm just looking forward to getting back and working out for real," he said. "Because of my injury, I haven't been able to lift hard with my upper body for 12 weeks. I'm ready to get back at it."
