Tom Brady voted 4th best in the NFL by peers

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady was announced as the 4th-best NFL player for 2012 Wednesday night on the NFL Network. He fell 3 spots from last year, having took home the title of the top NFL player last year in the Nerwork's first annual list.

"He's the ultimate competitor. The guy has accomplished so much, and it's never enough,"  Wes Welker said last night on the show.

Newly acquired WR  Brandon Lloyd also commented: "Tom Brady is the player I love to watch. He's my favorite player in the NFL."

Brady, 34 had a career-high 5,235 passing yards and 39 TDs last season. The winner of the number one spot, Aaron Rodgers, had 4,643 yards and 45 TDs. Of the three QBs in the final ten (Rodgers, Brady, Brees), only one made it to the Super Bowl.

Don't get us wrong, MVP of the league Rodgers had a great season last year, but for Brady to come in 4th is absurd. We could understand 2nd, but falling to 4th makes this list a little fishy. We think its time for a recount.

Other Patriots that made the list were:

81. Vince Wilfork
64. Logan Mankins
23. Wes Welker
21. Rob Gronkowski

Here's the NFL Nework's final 10:

1. QB Aaron Rodgers (Packers)
2. QB Drew Brees (Saints)
3. WR Calvin Johnson (Lions)
4. QB Tom Brady (Patriots)
5. CB Darrelle Revis (Jets)
6. OLB DeMarcus Ware (Cowboys)
7. WR Larry Fitzgerald (Cardinals)
8. RB Adrian Peterson (Vikings)
9. DL Haloti Ngata (Ravens)
10. LB Patrick Willis (49ers)
