Texas rematch: Patriots KO Texans for second time 41-28 to advance to AFC Championship game

The Houston Texans came to play this time, too bad the result was about the same.

The New England Patriots advance to the AFC championship game for the second year in a row. A Danny Woodhead injury prompted the insertion of second year running back Shane Vereen and he delivered big time scoring three times, twice on receptions.

Tom Brady, standing in the pocket and often under pressure, threw for 344 yards with 3 touchdowns. Defensive end Rob Ninkovich took the Texans momentum away with an interception late in the 3rd quarter when the game was 24-13 and Houston driving.

The Patriots move on to host the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday for the chance to punch a ticket to the Super Bowl.
