Patriots’ right tackle Sebastian Vollmer had knee surgery, according to Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald.
Vollmer is set to explore the free agent market in March, but recently underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his knee.
This is another injury being fixed in a long line for the often injured tackle. Vollmer has a chronic back problem that will keep the Patriots from franchising him.
When healthy, Vollmer is an above average offensive lineman; however, the Patriots won’t break the bank for him, and will let him test free agency.
