It's been almost a month since the NFL levied a 4-game suspension on Seatlle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman for violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy.
After a some delays, his appeal is finally scheduled to take place on Friday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
His fellow CB Brandon Bowner was suspended along with him, and had initially appealed, but dropped it and began serving his suspension 2 weeks ago.
Sherman may have a chance at beating the rap we're told, as he has maintained his innocence by claiming that he drank from a teammate's water bottle that contained Adderall. Whether he has any evidence to support that is another question though.
Sherman will be available for Sunday's big game with the San Francisco 49ers, but after that, he's faced with sitting out of the final regular season game and three in the playoffs should they get that far. If they don't, Sherman will sit out games at the start of next season.
