Rob Ryan said after being fired by the Dallas Cowboys that he’d get a job in five minutes. What he didn't say he could lose one just as fast.
Ryan might need a little more time now as he as the St. Louis Rams seemed to have agreed to have him come aboard as their new defensive coordinator, but reports are the two sides do not agree on philosophy, and thus Ryan is out before he was in.
"After extensive conversations regarding defensive philosophy, the Rams and Rob Ryan agreed he was not the right fit for the club's defensive coordinator position," COO/Executive VP of Football Operations Kevin Demoff told the team website."
"The Rams will continue the interview process with other candidates," Demoff said via Kareem Copeland of NFL.com.
The Rams never denied reports Ryan had been hired, however, now they are moving on in their search.
