The New York Jets are determined to get something for Tim Tebow after the failed experiment last year, and they're reportedly aiming to shop him around at the NFL Combine, reports Rich Cimini of ESPN New York.
They can't officially trade him until March 12th, but they can at least put some feelers out there.
Tebow is scheduled to make $2.6 million if he stays with the team. GM John Izdik has already done some chopping to get approximately $5.7 million below the cap limit, but they'll need more room, and have a little used backup stick around just can't be justified.
Cimini writes: ' The Jets will try to shop him at this week's scouting combine. The first day they can trade him is March 12, so they might keep him until then with the hope that they can swing a deal. Chances are, no one will bite, so they'll end up releasing him. '
