Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Ray Horton thought he at least was under strong consideration to take over as head coach when Ken Whisenhunt was fired.
So you could imagine his frustration upon hearing that they hired former Colts OC Bruce Arians for the job Thursday. Now, if reports are true, Horton's out of job.
He had one year left on his contract.
Mike Jurecki of XTRA 910 tweeted this out last night.
For those asking abt Ray Horton I was told he had a heated exchange w/ Steve Keim, thought he was the guy when McCoy took the Chargers job.

Mike Garafolo of USA Today also is reporting that Horton is 'pissed', and truth be told, he does have a point. Why wouldn't the Cardinals consider him for the job? Horton's defense was the only bright spot in a dismal season while the offense fell completely apart.
Now Arizona turns the page, with new reports out this morning that Ray has been fired, according to Mike Silver of Yahoo Sports.
I'm told Ray Horton is out as Cardinals defensive coordinator and will be replaced by Todd Bowles. Source who knows. Bad vibes all around.
