The Green Bay Packers have a chip their shoulder, but the San Francisco 49ers wants to knock it off.
Saturday night the two teams will clash to decide who will move on to the NFC championship game. For the 49ers, it is still new territory being a return visitor to the divisional round,
However, for the 2010 world champions, it’s terrain they know already, and also what will be needed to win.
"It's going to be a physical battle." "You know that's what it's going to be. It's going to be a physical game. We don't know how it's going to unfold -- but it's going to unfold physically. We know that," according to Tramon Williams as told to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
"When people talk about the Packers, the first thing people say is, 'They have a high-powered offense' and things like that," Williams said. "But we're a physical team."
Left guard T.J. Lang said: “They've got some big, strong guys up there in their front seven.” “But when we're playing our good football, we play just as physical as anybody else does.
That's the attitude that we have and when you go against a group that plays physical, hard-knock football, the biggest thing is to make sure you're matching their effort, their intensity the whole game.
“If we try to do that, if we match their effort as best we can, I think we have a good chance.”
