Ndamukong Suh on his declining numbers: "I don't care"

Deroit Lions DT Ndamukong Suh's numbers have steadily declined since his rookie season, but he doesn't think it's because of lack of effort or quality of play.

We must ask then, what is the reason Mr Suh? The question was posed to him after Sunday's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Suh's name did not appear in the box score at all. No sacks, no passes defended, no forced fumbles, no tackles. None. Nada. Zilch.

“To me, I don’t care because I’ve always had high expectations when I came out as a senior in high school to a senior in college going into being a rookie here in the NFL,” Suh said (via MLive.com). “To me, it doesn’t really matter.”

Even though the box score says he didn't get a tackle, Suh thinks he did.

“If it was true, it would bug me".

“But the key point in your question is recorded because the film never lies, and there’s been a lot of games I’ve experienced that throughout this year. For whatever reason, I can’t tell you that. You’ll have to ask somebody else, but that’s just the way the chips fell. In the stat book, I got no tackles. What I did on the field was a different story.”

So far this season, Suh has 13 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
