Mike Tomlin called Ben Roethlisberger’s first full day of practice “a positive day”

Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin said Ben Roethlisberger was a little rusty, but called it a ‘positive day’ for his quarterback.

The quarterback carousel that had third string signal caller Charlie Batch making two starts looks to be solidifying at the right time. Mike Tomlin had this to say:

"I thought it was a positive day for Ben," Tomlin said, according to the Associated Press via ESPN.

"He threw the ball around both vertically and horizontally. I thought the ball had good velocity, particularly in a few instances. So, it was positive."

"We'll see what the future holds for us," Tomlin said.

"I'm getting there," Roethlisberger said. "I've got to talk to Heath Miller. He's my barometer. He lets me know how close I am.”
