Matt Schaub on rematch with the Patriots: “we’re going to give them everything they can handle”

The Houston Texans beat the Cincinnati Bengals on wildcard weekend to earn the right to travel to New England, and a return match with the Patriots.

The first game didn’t go so well for the Texans, getting blown out in their biggest game in the team’s short history.

The first step for the Texans is to forget the beating they sustained and come up with a plan to combat the Patriots fast paced offense.

Matt Schaub will have to be at his best to match wits with Tom Brady, but in the playoffs anything can happen. Schaub spoke briefly about the match up to KILT in Houston with Nick Wright and John Lopez:

“We’re excited about it; we’re looking forward to that challenge. Obviously we didn’t play near our type of football or the way we’re capable of playing when we went up there. We’re looking to right that ship.”

“We don’t care about that. No one cares. It’s someone’s opinion and they’re entitled to that. It’s motivation. We’re going to go up there and we’re going to play good football and we’re going to give them everything they can handle.”
