Jay Cutler ruled out for Monday’s game against the 49ers

The Chicago Bears announced today that quarterback Jay Cutler will not play in the Monday night game vs. the San Francisco 49ers.

This was an expected move as Cutler hadn’t progressed or practiced during the week after suffering a concussion against the Houston Texans.

Backup Jason Campbell will get his first start as a Bear under trying circumstances, as he will face the vaunted 49ers defense.

Campbell went 11 / 18 for 94 yards andno touchdowns, with a passer rating of 57.9 vs. the Texans in relief of Cutler.
