The Eagles 5: one of these men might be head coach next season

Howard Eskin of FOX 29 and WIP radio is reporting the Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie has a list with five names on it.

  • Bill O’Brien, Penn State head coach
  • Dirk Koetter, Falcons offensive coordinator
  • Greg Roman, 49ers offensive coordinator
  • Bruce Arians, Colts offensive coordinator
  • Chip Kelly, Oregon head coach


What's similar about the candidates on the list is that they are all offensive coaches, so we can see where Lurie is going with this.

Also, as Mike Florio at PFT points out, they'll all white, which means Lurie is going to have to go back to drawing board to satisfy the Rooney Rule.
