It sounds like South Carolina RB and quick healer Marcus Lattimore is going to shock the football world at the upcoming NFL Combine in Indianapolis next week, as he was interviewed by Brian McConchie, Sport Director of WACH Fox.
He is not participating in any of the physical skills at the combine, but he will be discussing his current condition with teams, and to make sure there is not confusion, he is bringing his own answer man, renowned orthopedists Dr. James Andrews.
Andrews will discuss the injury, surgery and his rehabilitation.
During an appearance on USC's weekly radio program "Inside the Roost" Monday night, Lattimore said he is way ahead of schedule in his recovery from knee surgery, and the doctors who evaluate him at this week's NFL combine "will be shocked, I can tell you that."
Lattimore tore multiple knee ligaments last fall in a game against Tennessee. In December, he announced he would skip his senior season and enter the NFL draft.
Before his second season-ending knee injury, Lattimore was projected as a first-round draft pick. He's now expected to be a mid-round choice as he continues to recover.
