Detroit Lions' Nick Fairley to plead not guilty to DUI, eluding police charges

Detroit Lions DT Nick Fairley's lawyer Sid Harrell told the Detroit Free Press that the NFL's newly minted top bad boy will plead not guilty today to charges of DUI and eluding police on May 27th.

Harrell also said it's too early to know if a plea deal can be reached.

Alabama state troopers say Fairley was driving his Cadillac Escalade at 100 mph on Interstate 10. He also was cited for reckless driving, no proof of insurance and having an open container of alcohol.

It was his second run in with the law in as many months. In April he charged with the marijuana possession. He has a hearing for that on July 31st.
