Michael Vick has been around the NFL long enough to know you don’t take a pay cut when you can possibly make even more somewhere else. The Eagles are silly if they think Vick would do something like that.
Vick has a host of teams ready to bring in the talented quarterback, and won’t he be shy about opening their checkbook.
According to Mike Florio of profootballtalk.com, Chip Kelly and Michael Vick met on Friday. However, there's been no information pertaining to Vick’s status with the Eagles, and no resolution is expected in the immediate future.
The Eagles need to make a decision before February 6th, when $3 million of Vick’s $15.5 million base salary becomes fully guaranteed. The Eagles can’t look for a trade until March 12 when the new league year starts.
So they are stuck between a rock and a hard place, and Vick doesn’t look like he’ll help pry them loose.
