The Chicago Bears made some more roster noise just four days into training camp.
After acquiring defensive tackle Brian Price from Tampa Bay the other day, Chicago added cornerback Jeremy Ware and waived kicker David Teggart.
Ware was a seventh round pick by the Oakland Raiders in 2010 and appeared in eight games as a rookie recording one interception and three pass breakups. He was released by Oakland at the conclusion of last season's training camp.
Although we at Bears 101 reported wide receiver/return specialist Devin Hester was fine after a collision with Major Wright in yesterday's practice, he sat out Saturday's practice.
The coaching staff likely held Hester out of practice as a precautionary measure. He was dressing in orange shorts and a jersey on the sidelines while the rest of the team was in full gear.
Hester said the injury isn't serious and thought he'd be ready to practice today. He should be back on the practice field soon.
