Browns say they will reboot coach search without Chip Kelly in the fold

One day you're hot, the next you're not. The Cleveland Browns have shifted their focus and are moving on from onetime favorite, Oregon’s Chip Kelly.

Kelly, after his first meeting with the Browns, made his next stop with the Philadelphia Eagles, who are also interested and rumored to have had a marathon 9 hour meeting.

Reports on Saturday had Kelly pretty much a done deal in Cleveland, but Kelly left without an agreement.

Chris Mortenson of ESPN said via Twitter:

“Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and execs are headed back to Browns. Sources say they will reboot coach search without Chip Kelly in the fold.”

Mortenson did not mention any names as possible candidates.
