Browns linebacker coach Billy Davis interviewed for Eagles vacant defensive coordinator position

Browns linebacker coach Billy Davis interviewed for the Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator position on Sunday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com.

Davis’s had been the defensive coordinator for the 49ers in 2005 and 2006, and the Cardinals coordinator in 2009 and 2010. However, the hiring of Ray Horton as the DC for Cleveland, Davis is not expected to be back.

The Eagles are cycling through candidates and Davis worked with now Eagles offensive coordinator Pat Shurmer, which could give him a possible edge.
