Bill Belichick is making a habit out of picking up former assistants in the postseason. Last year it was Josh McDaniels, this year it is Brian Daboll according to Michael David Smith of profootballweekly.com.
Daboll was an offensive assistant in New England from 2000 through 2006, but left to work with Eric Mangini and the New York Jets in 2007.
After spending 2 years as the Jets’ quarterbacks coach, Daboll moved on to become the Browns offensive coordinator in which he spent 2 years.
Daboll then spent one season with the Dolphins’ offensive coordinator before joining Romeo Crennel in 2012 season as the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator.
