The New York Jets, as expected, claimed receiver Braylon Edwards off waivers after he was officially released by the Seattle Seahawks.
The extremely thin at receiver Jets look to be extremely thick-skinned as well, willing to bring back a known problem player who just called the Jets brass "idiots' only a week ago.
But then again, the Jets are mathematically still in the playoff hunt, and there's no time for grudges.
They could conceivably run the table and finish at a respectable 9-7, but they will need help.
Edwards could come in and help immediately. Having already built a good rapport with QB Mark Sanchez, he could become a big contributor as he was in 2010, when he had 904 yards receiving and seven touchdowns.
"It feels great to be going home," Edwards tweeted. "Thanks to all of Jet Nation that continuously supported me and pushed for me. I'm back and it's go time."
