With the New England Patriots on the cusp of clinching the AFC East with a win in Miami Sunday, receiver Brandon Lloyd remembers how it used to be.
Last year, he played for the Rams, who went a dismal 2-14. Before that, on a Broncos team that fared a tad better at 4-12. Now here in New England, a playoff spot is more than just automatic, it's expected.
How's it feel to be on a winning team like the Patriots?
"It’s definitely new for me," Lloyd said, via ESPNBoston.com, "but I’m preparing every day and going into the games on the weekend like it’s normal."
One of the Pats first goals of the season is to, of course, make the playoffs, but it doesn't stop there, just a milestone on the way to the promised land.
"It’s out there, and it’s a realistic goal, but it comes down to playing the game and that’s what we’re focused on."
