San Francisco 49ers RB Brandon Jacobs suffered an injury to his left knee against the Texans tonight, and it doesn't look good for the new 49er.
During a Jacobs 8-yard run, Texans CB Kareem Jackson hit the knee hard. Players gathered around him for several minutes as he lay on the field. He couldn't put any weight on the knee and had to be carried to the sideline, then later carted off into the locker room.
Jacobs signed with the 49ers in the offseason after spending his last 7 years with the New York Giants. While we can't speculate on the nature of the injury, it just doesn't look good. More to come.
