Buffalo Bills backup RB Tashard Choice and other teammates are bothered by New England Patriots LB Brandon Spikes’ celebratory display after injuring starting running back Fred Jackson with a crushing hit in the 4th quarter of the Patriots’ win on Sunday.
Spikes has become an unpopular man in Buffalo and beyond this season as he ramps up his playmaking ability. Just the opposite here in New England though, where his popularity with fans is increasing.
“Yeah, he’ll get his”, Choice told the Associated Press. Sounds like a threat to me.
“I don’t like to see nobody get hurt, and then on top of that, Spikes makes fun of him while he’s on the ground.”
In Spikes' defense, Jackson was already up when he flexed his muscles.
Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has already called him a “punk” for his hit on the QB that drew an unnecessary roughness penalty on the play.
Note to Choice, Fitzpatrick, et. al. – This is football. Players get hit hard. Players celebrate when they do something well. Players also mouth off to their opponents.
Nothing to see here folks, move on.
