Bill Belichick thinks Randy Moss is the greatest deep-ball receiver that's ever played

As we prepare for the Sunday night Matchup of the Patriots and 49ers, former Patriot Randy Moss and Bill Belichick offered some praise for one another.

Moss always has been very complimentary of the Patriots, even after Bill Belichick jettisoned him mid-season to the Minnesota Vikings for a 3rd round draft pick.

"I've learned a lot from Bill Belichick" Moss told CBSSports.com

"I've said time and time again, before I got to New England, I thought I knew a lot about football. But I think he taught me a lot from A to Z. I still carry it to this day. The compliments are good, and I respect Coach Belichick and that organization still to this day."

Earlier, Bill Belichick heaped a bunch a praise on his former receiver's performance this season. "I think Randy looks like Randy," Belichick said via Comcast SportsNet BayArea. "He's the greatest deep-ball receiver that's ever played. Nobody runs better patterns or has a better feel for the deep part of the field like Randy Moss does."

"He's an explosive, dynamic player, and probably the smartest receiver I've ever coached. I know he absolutely knows what he's doing and knows what the defense is doing."
