Cowboys’ wide receiver Cole Beasley: “I bring more to the table than Wes Welker”

Cole Beasly in an undrafted free agent out of SMU, and if nothing else, raised the bar for himself to a very high level. Beasley through a radio interview with 105.5, and via the Dallas Morning News, seemed annoyed by the Welker comparison.

“I get tired of it because I feel like I have a little more speed than Wes Welker does.”

At 5’8’ and 182 pounds, Beasley has a similar body type; however, he’s saying he’s got his own style.

His confidence sure isn’t lacking, but bring more to the table? Shouldn’t Beasley take some reps before taking aim at the best slot receiver in the NFL? Again, you have to love his confidence. The Cowboys have Dez Bryant and Miles Austin as their top two wideouts, so if Beasley realistically is going to make the team, it will be from the slot.
